Tutoring: In addition to educational counseling, Julie provides tutoring to students already enrolled in school.  She specializes in reading, literature analysis, writing and history.  Her tutoring is separate from school search counseling and her fees are entirely separate; however she has tutored student who have to write admissions essays required on applications or on admissions tests.

Julie Core, President, received her B.A. in English from the University of Arkansas and her Masters in Curriculum and Teaching from Fordham University. Teaching in New York City for many years, she was a co-designer of an interdisciplinary English/Social Studies curriculum that won a NCTE award and cited her school as a Center of Excellence. For the past twenty-five years, she has been an admissions administrator in independent schools.  She knows the New York City independent school market Pre-K through senior high, and she is in the unique position of knowing most of the nursery schools and the major independent schools in Westchester (NY) and Fairfield (CT) counties.
